Alex and myself went to film the underground sections of our music video and it's safe to say we caused quite a stir. I'm desperatley searching the internet for more people but literally hundreds of people had their phones out filming and taking pictures of me. Above are some tweets about our escapades and we're certain there are many more.

The shoot went well and we got all the footage we needed plus a whole lot extra after getting carried away.

Feedback Session/Meeting with Mrs Dymioti

In the lesson me and alex had a quick meeting with Mrs Dymioti to go over the recent developments in our project and the progress we had made on the marketing campaign. The main points we discussed were:

• The research we've done shows that we have found a niche for our artist because she will be marketed neither as a sexual object nor a tomboy. She will be just the everyday girl with extraordinary DJing talents, she's fashionable and fun.
• In previous meetings we had considered one of the outfits for the promo shoot to be a charlie's angel look (leather jacket and trousers with heels) but the point was bought up about the idea that this could send mixed signals to the audience about who this girl is. It also may not link in with the idea of the fun loving and innocent video.She should definitely be trendy and into fashion but maybe not take the 'edge' too far.
• Consider Little Mix from this years X Factor for inspiration because the girl next door image is starting trends for females in the industry and will be an advantage for our artist

Thanks to our friend Ethan, our DJ, Odelia is going to have some real dj decks for her shoot on Wednesday. We're so excited!

Odelia Yu is our Dj, she's pretty confident and isn't camera shy having starred in her own music and video and in our workshop last year. We feel she stands out and there is a gap in the market for her as there a few female DJ's in the charts, and few asian artists in the entire music industry. This will help her to stand out and be unique

Promo Shoot Inspirations and Ideas

To get some inspiration for the types of shots that we may want to try out during our promo shoot, I searched the internet for images that were related to DJs, music or confident women and below is what I found.

There are several categories of image that we want to capture on the shoot, these are: Action Shots, Beauty Shots and Personality Shots. The action shots involve showing the artist using the decks and looking as if they are actually laying down a track. Beauty shots will focus more on facial expressions and the headphones. The personality shots will be used to portray the loud, bright and colourful side to the artist.
