Progress Update! Thursday 10th November 2011

After capturing all the footage we got from sunday's shoot and starting on a rough edit, we realised that the footage simply wasn't working with the track and there was not enough variation. So after more discussions we have adapted the idea slightly in order for it to fit to the track better and to improve the entertainment value of the video. Below is a summary of where we are at now.

We have gone back to square 1 and come up with a new narrative but have kept the element of the panda and the final dance routine. However there will now be more emphasis on a journey and include more set ups rather than have all the video occur in a park. The journey will be from the panda's home to the school field and the set ups occur for different scenarios along the way.

Possible Scenarios

• Panda wakes up and leaves the house
• He cycles to southgate
• Waits for a train/bus
• Gets on the train (lots of cuts between him in different positions to connote time passing)
• Off the train
• Buy breakfast in a cafe
• Cross at a zebra crossing with a lollipop man
• Panda steals a bike

Brief break down of the video

• The first minute would be the journey from home to school with all the locations and scenarios along the way
• The next minute would start from the slower part of the song and this is where people start to follow the panda on his journey in school
• The last 46 seconds would be the flash mob dance routine
